Exceptional circumstances
In most cases, flight delays and cancelations in France are caused by strikes. If the strike is not directly caused by the airline, the passengers affected are not entitled to compensation under EU law. However, if it is an inherent strike by the airline, it could be assumed that it could have taken measures to avoid flight disruptions. Compensation could therefore be due. In any case, you can request an alternative means of transportation to your destination as well as snacks and drinks. If yours is an organized trip, you should contact your travel agency directly to find an alternative solution.
